RYA Yachtmaster

Definition of RYA Yachtmaster is: ‘a yachtsman or woman competent to skipper a cruising yacht on any passage that can be completed without the use of astro navigation.’

The theory for is the same as RYA Coastal Skipper but the difference is the prior experience.

Yachtmaster Practical Exam

Only for very experienced skippers. Please contact us in order to provide you with more info on how to pass your yachtmaster exam.

Minimum experience required: Coastal / Yachtmaster Shorebased Theory, 50 days aboard, 5 days as a skipper, 2.500 miles, 5 passages over 60 miles, 2 nights as a skipper.

If the exam is done in Cyprus you must have minimum 1.200 miles on tidal water.
